Introduction to the World Integrity Organization (WIO)
1.World Integrity Organization (WIO) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting integrity and professional ethics, with a particular focus on advancing integrity and ethical conduct within governments and among public officials.It was founded in March 2004 in Hong Kong, China, and its headquarters are currently located in the United States and Canada. It is a member organization of the World Credit Organization (WCO).The purpose of World Integrity Organization (WIO) is to promote integrity and professional ethics and to advance human progress.World Integrity Organization (WIO) is independent of any national government. It is not affiliated with, subordinate to, or supported by any government, and it has no official or semi-official governmental background.In order to maintain its independence, WIO does not accept donations or financial assistance from governments, semi-official organizations, or state-owned enterprises.
In order to avoid the public misunderstanding about our background, the World Integrity Organization (WIO) hereby reminds: We do not have any governmental or quasi-governmental background in China, nor any governmental or quasi-governmental background in any other country. And, in order to ensure our independence, we do not seek support from any government or quasi-government. We are registered in the United States and Canada, which only means that we are protected by the legal systems of the United States and Canada and that we exist legally. Because anyone can register an non-governmental organization in the United States or Canada, this does not mean that we have a governmental or quasi-governmental background in the United States or Canada. In addition, we do not have strong financial resources. Our advantages are only: the scientific nature, universality, fairness and impartiality of our ICE8000 standards, as well as our pursuit and compliance with universal human values for many years.
2.The principal services and activities of the World Integrity Organization (WIO) include:
2.1 Association services, namely, promoting public awareness of universal human morality, including integrity, credibility, honesty, loyalty, kindness, fairness, and justice;
2.2 Business management consulting and advisory services;
2.3 ICE8000 Integrity Star certification services, namely evaluating and certifying the integrity and professional ethics of providers of goods and/or services in accordance with the ICE8000 Integrity Standard;
2.4 Conducting industry self-regulatory oversight with respect to the integrity and professional ethics of individuals and entities that have obtained ICE8000 Integrity Star certification;
2.5 Safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and individuals in accordance with applicable laws;
2.6 Conducting research, advocacy, and public-interest monitoring initiatives aimed at promoting integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct in public administration and among public officials, and preventing the abuse of power through non-governmental, lawful, and non-enforcement means;
2.7 Providing policy research, analysis, and recommendations to governments and relevant authorities for the improvement and development of laws, regulations, and institutional frameworks;
2.8 Carrying out public-interest integrity rankings and non-commercial integrity evaluation initiatives;
2.9 Undertaking other activities consistent with and in furtherance of the Organization’s mission.
3. The working method of the World Integrity Organization is to evaluate the integrity work behavior of governments and public officials by expressing opinions or publicly expressing opinions, and making suggestions for improvement to promote the integrity behavior of governments and public officials. The legal basis for this way of working is: freedom of speech and other provisions clearly stipulated in the constitutions of the United States and Canada.

4. World Integrity Organization abides by both the laws of the United States and Canada and is protected by the laws of both countries.
5. As a member of the World Credit Organization, the World Integrity Organization abides by the ICE8000 international credit standards promulgated by the organization, adheres to universal human values such as honesty, fairness, and justice, and ensures that its actions are ethical and do not violate the law and the legitimate rights and interests of anyone.
6. The names and registration history of the World Integrity Organization (WIO).
(1) In November 2002, the Beijing Huashuang Economic Research Institute’s Rights Protection Center was established in Beijing, China’s capital.
(2) In March 2004, the International Credible Enterprises Association (ICEA) was established in Hong Kong.
(3) In June 2020, the World Integrity Organization (WIO) was established in Delaware, USA, as its global first headquarters.
(4) In February 2021, the World Integrity Organization (WIO) established in Canada,as its global second headquarters.
(5) In January 2024, the global first headquarters of the World Integrity Organization (WIO) relocated to Washington DC, USA.
